We wanted to send an update to everyone who generously remembered Jim Allen with a gift to place a bench in his memory at UB. We're happy to announce that the bench was placed last week! Jim’s daughter Lindsay shared that the bench was placed a day before the anniversary of Jim’s passing, so the Allen family were particularly appreciative of everyone who made this memorial happen.

When the UB campus planning team met with Lindsay, they realized the original location (outside of O’Brien Hall on UB’s North Campus) wasn’t the best place for the bench. With Lindsay and her family’s input and support, the bench was placed outside of Hayes Hall on the UB South Campus, a building that was a significant part of Jim’s time at UB. With the remaining funds, we will landscape around the bench in the Spring of 2019.
