Help support UB School of Nursing students and faculty as they complete global mission trips! In 2019, UB SON is planning opportunities for students to perform their learned nursing skills on deserving populations.
Our next trip is scheduled for Borgne, Haiti in March 2019:
Faculty and students from the University at Buffalo School of Nursing will be traveling to Borgne, Haiti to complete a mobile medical mission trip from March 16-23, 2019. Once there, they will be providing nursing and medical care in an interdisciplinary team setting in an extremely underserved and poor population with very limited to no access to health care in a rural area of Haiti. Students will learn how to provide culturally competent care in a global healthcare setting, setting up a “mobile” medical clinic, performing histories and vital signs, diagnosing, treating, counseling and educating patients.
