Diversity, equity and inclusion are essential if we are to achieve excellence in patient care, medical education and research. This is a core value at the University at Buffalo and the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and we have a responsibility to assure that this is a reality for our students, faculty and community.
The Diversity and Inclusion Fund provides much-needed scholarship and fellowship assistance to medical students as well as supports important work being done by our faculty and staff.
Each year, students who have been accepted into the Jacobs School and who have demonstrated a commitment to inclusiveness in health care, research, medical education, and the community are invited to apply for the Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship before starting their first year of medical school.
