The UBAA Forever Blue Alumni Scholarship was established in 2019 by the UB Alumni Association Board of Directors to recognize deserving and passionate UB alumni who choose to continue their education at the University at Buffalo. By creating this new scholarship, the UBAA Board of Directors hopes to supplement existing scholarships and awards offered by the Alumni Association to support UB graduates who choose to return to UB for a second degree and continue their exceptional educational experience.
The scholarship is awarded annually in the spring semester to qualifying UB graduates who demonstrate strong leadership skills and involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities with evidence of UB involvement during and after completion of first degree. Preference given to students who completed their previous degree with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.

If this gift intention is to support an endowment fund, unless otherwise restricted by the gift instrument pursuant to paragraph (b) of Section 553 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law, the institution may expend so much of the endowment fund as it deems prudent after considering the factors set forth in paragraph (a) of Section 553 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law.
