Support hands-on opportunities for students and make a global impact

The Experiential Learning Network at the University at Buffalo offers opportunities for students to gain global experiences through mentored projects in partnership with global Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), while connecting with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to tackle some of the world's most urgent and critical problems. Current projects focus on issues including clean water, energy, construction, reusable sanitary pads, and more.

Your gift will help provide technologies and materials so students can bring their projects to life. While students continue to work on conceptual designs during COVID-19 related travel restrictions, they have limited access to key technologies. Your gift today will support UB students’ engagement by purchasing resources that will allow our students to innovate and design in collaboration with our global partners in countries including Tanzania, Nigeria, Uganda, South Africa, India, and Nepal.

A brick making machine, seen in the below photo in Tanzania, is a key technology purchase that your gift will support. Students are currently working on designs for sanitation projects to be implemented in Tanzania, and purchasing the same machine for student use at UB would allow project designs to be as accurate as possible, and therefore more powerful.

Having access to the brick making machine and similar technologies on campus will allow students to experiment with innovations around renewable energy, water purification, and other UN sustainable development goals. Your gift today will offer hands-on opportunities for student learning and have a global impact. Thank you for your support!
