University at Buffalo faculty, staff and students are working on the front lines of COVID-19 response—providing medical, dental, legal and social work services (both in-person and remotely); testing for the disease; conducting research; gathering and distributing supplies, and assisting in the production of protective equipment for health care workers.
Our faculty’s collective knowledge and experience—especially in medicine, nursing, dentistry, public health, pharmacy and social work—represents a lifesaving resource for the community.
To support the many rapidly evolving healthcare needs of our community, UB has established the COVID-19 Response Fund. Your contributions will provide funding for critical, ongoing efforts in our community that include:
Accelerating and expanding diagnostic and testing capacity
Securing additional physicians and nurses
Providing emergency medical and dental care to vulnerable populations
Producing personal protective equipment using 3-D printing technology and rapidly distributing it to caretakers on the frontlines
Expanding telehealth services and virtual appointment technologies
Accelerating COVID-19 vaccine research
Obtaining FDA approval to begin clinical trials treating COVID-19 with novel drugs
Training frontline health workers in the region to respond effectively to the pandemic
Together we can make a difference and persevere during this time of crisis. Thank you for your support!
