The Residential Impact Award is a student-sponsored endowment that is being established to fund an emerging student leader that lives on campus and wants to continue to live on campus but otherwise would not be able to without assistance.
The goal of this fundraiser is to establish an annual $1,000 award that would help offset living costs for students to continue to live on campus and further their leadership development and experiential learning opportunities.
The Residence Hall Association (RHA), founded in 1991, serves as the student government for the students living within the university-owned and operated Residence Halls and Apartment Complexes. RHA represents all students living on campus and builds inclusive, engaged communities through advocacy, leadership development, and programming.
If this gift intention is to support an endowment fund, unless otherwise restricted by the gift instrument pursuant to paragraph (b) of Section 553 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law, the institution may expend so much of the endowment fund as it deems prudent after considering the factors set forth in paragraph (a) of Section 553 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law.
