WHO WE ARE
We are the University at Buffalo Women’s Tennis team. Since 2008 our program has captured three Mid-American Conference Championships. In addition, our program has NEVER missed competing in the MAC Tournament under the direction of head coach Kristen Ortman Maines and associate head coach Smaranda “Stan” McNerney – both of who are UB alums. Over the past three seasons alone, we have posted an impressive 36-19 mark.
Off the court, our young women have set the standard in the classroom, earning departmental-best team grade point average of 3.93.
Our program is developing young women who truly want to make a difference in our community. Our program also strives to prepare our young women for life after college, as they earn a degree and go out into the work force.
WHY WE ARE RAISING FUNDS
We are raising funds in order to enhance our student-athletes’ experience by giving them the tools necessary to train at an elite level.
Our team will be fundraising for video analysis equipment and software to help evaluate practice and competition film, so we can continue to elevate on the national stage.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
With your help, we can continue to grow our Women’s Tennis program on a national level and continue to succeed in the MAC! All gifts made in support of our Operation Stampede campaign are tax-deductible and will be allocated towards the Women’s Tennis Fund. Any amount helps and goes a long way towards our pursuit of MAC Championships!
