We’re excited to start 2026 by sharing some great news: thanks to your support, we reached our $5,000 crowdfunding goal back in September. Your contribution directly helped us deliver an incredible hackathon experience for 530 hackers this year by supporting meals, hardware, workshops, and the infrastructure needed to turn ideas into real projects.

Because of supporters like you, UB Hacking continues to grow. We’re projecting 650 hackers at our next event, and we’re already laying the groundwork, both technically and financially, to support 1,000 hackers by 2027. That means investing early in stronger infrastructure, better planning, and long-term sustainability to ensure every student has a high-quality experience as we scale.

We’re also working closely with the Buffalo startup and tech community to create new, exciting opportunities for students, helping them turn ideas into real products, research, and career paths right here in Western New York. UB Hacking is becoming more than an event; it’s a launch point for ambition.
