This crowdfunding campaign is to support and expand the reach of the Clinic’s vital work, ensuring that Student Attorneys can be there, on the front lines, both (1) representing survivors and (2) working hard to ensure that young people and community members are educated on how this pervasive violence can be avoided.

As we see again and again in the news, family violence impacts too many people. The struggle to stop it often requires legal expertise, and that is where the University at Buffalo School of Law’s Family Violence and Women’s Rights Clinic student attorney’s and faculty come in. This committed group works tirelessly on behalf of those who face violence but cannot afford legal assistance. Our Student Attorneys need your help to continue the fight to advocate for vulnerable victims of family violence.

What exactly will your dollars be supporting? Expansion of the clinic s work, so that:

• Student Attorney teams can do more work with and for clients who are survivors:
  • Get them ready for court
  • Preparing documents that protect them and their children
  • Negotiating on their behalf
  • Appearing in court

No donation is too small! When many community members give a little, the results can create significant change for survivors and support extended community education! 716 is the City of Good Neighbors and this donation will help the 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men who are victims of domestic violence.

$10-$25: Anti-Violence Sponsor

We are training the next generation of lawyers that will serve our community as engaged, ethical and excellent advocates. With this donation, your donation will directly support the services offered by the Family Violence & Women’s Rights Clinic.

$52: Anti-Violence Supporter

Seeking help as a victim of domestic violence is often scary and very hard. A donation as an “Anti-Violence Supporter,” that is the equivalent of $1.00 a week, will make an immense difference in enhancing the clinic’s mission and work.

$104-$250: Anti-Violence Patron

For those able to make a larger contribution, please consider becoming an “Anti-Violence Patron” and your donation will further expand our Student Attorney’s capacity to make impactful changes in the lives of those facing family violence.
